Solar systems combine rooftop DC wiring at high voltage with your property's AC switchboard. Over years of heat, UV and storms, isolator enclosures can let in water, cable insulation can break down and earthing connections can loosen. These faults don't always stop the system producing power, but they can create shock or fire risks.
An Electrical Safety Inspection goes further than a visual check. Our licensed electrician carries out electrical tests on your solar system and switchboard and records the results in a written report, so you know exactly where things stand. The inspection is $299 for one solar system and its switchboard; this is an indicative price, confirmed with you when we schedule the visit.

Older rooftop DC isolators deserve attention. Many older systems have isolators mounted on the roof, and ageing enclosures and seals are a known source of water entry and faults. Our report notes their condition and whether replacement is recommended.
Some tests require the solar system to be switched off for a short time, and safety switch testing briefly cuts power to protected circuits, so you may need to reset clocks afterwards. If we find an immediate danger, we isolate the affected equipment and explain why. The price covers one solar system and its main switchboard; additional inverters, batteries and sub-boards are quoted separately. Repairs are not included.
