Battery incentives in 2026 come from several programs with different rules, and they change often. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, the NSW VPP incentive and the new NSW business and apartment battery incentives each have their own eligibility requirements, and not all of them can be combined. Our Battery Incentive Assessment works out which apply to your property and what they are likely to be worth, before you commit to a battery size or brand.
The assessment is $99 per property (indicative pricing), and the fee is credited against your battery installation if you go ahead with Blue Energy Solar.
We install batteries and handle the incentive paperwork for our customers, so we follow program changes closely. Blue Energy Solar is a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, our installers are SAA-accredited, and we install batteries from Sigenergy, GoodWe, Fox ESS and Sungrow. The assessment gives you plain numbers without pressure, and you are free to use it when comparing quotes. If an incentive does not apply to your situation, we will say so clearly.

The federal program gives roughly 30% off the installed cost of an eligible home battery, delivered via STCs, when it is installed with existing or new solar. The tiered value is approximately $272 per kWh for the first 14 kWh, $163 per kWh from 14 to 28 kWh and $41 per kWh from 28 to 50 kWh, stepping down every 1 January and 1 July to 2030. It needs a battery on the approved products list and an SAA-accredited installer.
The NSW household battery installation incentive (PDRS) has been suspended since 30 June 2025, so for most households it no longer stacks with the federal discount. Always confirm current values on the official pages before signing.

4. You receive a written summary of what applies, what can be combined and the key dates.
5. If you go ahead with a Blue Energy Solar battery installation, the fee is credited and we handle the paperwork.
The assessment fee is credited against the installation price if you accept a Blue Energy Solar battery installation quote for the same property.
Incentive values are estimates; final values depend on the installation date, approved products and the certificate market at the time.
