Before adding EV chargers, a battery, heat pumps or new machinery, you need to know how much capacity your electrical supply really has. Guessing can lead to tripping main switches, an unexpected supply upgrade or chargers that are throttled all day. An electrical capacity study measures your site's actual maximum demand and compares it with the limits of your main switch, consumer mains and network connection.

Logged data beats estimates. Capacity calculations based only on equipment ratings often overstate or understate real demand. Logging over a normal operating period, ideally including your busiest days, gives a far more reliable answer.
If the study shows little spare capacity, options include dynamic load management for EV chargers, shifting loads, adding a battery or applying to the network for a larger connection, which requires network approval and can take time. Seasonal loads such as air-conditioning may not show up in a short logging window, so we adjust for them where your bills show higher summer or winter use. Strata buildings may need owners corporation approval before any upgrade.
