Solar Panels – Do it Yourself and Save! Whether you are trying to reduce your electric bill or you are just looking to be a little bit more environmentally friendly installing solar panels on your home is a great way to start. Especially with recent technology there are lot of less expensive do it yourself home Solar power kits –now available to the interested home buyer.

The panels are relatively easy to install on your own with a little elbow grease you can have your house up and running using less electricity than you thought. Well you are using the same amount of electricity, just more of it is from free energy sources.

Not only will you be more eco friendly but you will also have a nice addition to your house that increases its value and efficiency along with being green. How can you go wrong with that?

Did you know that because of the huge cost of solar panels the time it takes for it to pay for itself can be anywhere from 10 to 20 years down the road. Now it is still an environmentally friendly choice, but that is a long time to wait to start to see a return. Especially on systems than can cost upwards of $10,000 dollars and more just to get installed in the first

Now before you jump the gun that having them installed or getting it installed by a company can cost lots of money. Several thousand on the low end and up just look around online or in you local community. The huge price is one of the big reasons why people avoid installing this eco friendly idea.

SO what can you do? Like I said there are several guides and do it yourself kits that might seem daunting at first but they will save you immediate cash, from not having to pay some huge expensive company to do it. They will also save you money later in the year as you save on your electric bill every month.

Can the Solar Tax Incentives Spark New Life in Solar Energy Usage?

There have been solar tax incentives in the past. The problem was that they didn't really do much to help the homeowner get solar energy in their homes. However, there is now great news for the renewable energies! Part of the Economic Growth and Financial Stabilization Act of 2008 (HR 1424 EAS) includes the extension of the tax credit for renewable energies that was set to expire at the end of 2008.
